2015 Canadian Convention & Competition
The Canadian Council of Sheet Metal Workers & Roofers 40th Annual Convention was held July 15th to July 18th in Edmonton Alberta. The apprenticeship competition was held in conjunction with the convention and Local 296 was represented by Aaron Waselick who works for Black & McDonald in Saskatoon. The competitors completed a shop project, drafting test and theory exam during the competition. We are elated to announce that Aaron took 1st place in the competition, this is the second time in the history of the Canadian competition that a Local 296 member has won.
On behalf of the membership we would like to thank Aaron and his family for representing Local 296 during the conference and competition.
