Commercial Agreement Votes
On January 6th and 7th votes were held in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Regina regarding The Sheet Metal Workers Local 296 Commercial / Institutional Provincial Agreement. We would like to thank the members who attended for coming out to voice your opinions and cast your votes. The ballots were counted in Regina and the results are as follows:
1) The members voted in favor of accepting the wage increase effective October 30, 2016.
2) The members voted against Blanket Enabling but in favor of Target Enabling.
Therefore the rates in the agreement are in effect on all current projects. If a project that you are dispatched too is enabled, through targeting, you will be notified by the employer or during dispatch.
