2016 Canadian Competition
The Canadian Council of Sheet Metal Workers & Roofers 41st Annual Convention was held July 21st to July 23rd in Halifax Nova Scotia. The apprenticeship competition was held in conjunction with the convention and Local 296 was represented by Matt Kozun who works for Pow City Mechanical in Saskatoon. The competitors completed a shop project, drafting test and theory exam during the competition. We are elated to announce that Matt took 3rd place in the competition.
On behalf of the membership we would like to thank Matt for representing Local 296 during the conference and competition.
